To support Scott Pallets further growth, we’re searching for a Head of HR to support the Reconditioned Business Unit (RBU).

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the role will be responsible for delivering a value added, customer focussed, HR service by delivering people processes that support the employee lifecycle and achievement of the people strategy.
Key responsibilities will include:

  • Development of an operational HR people plan, aligned to the Scott Group people strategy, to deliver goals, projects, and business as usual operational HR
  • Delivering HR business partnering to the business unit, delivering the people goals aligned to the business and people strategies
  • Leading, coaching and developing the business unit HR team to deliver continuous improvements to people processes and policies
  • Supporting continuous improvement of manager capability by fostering a people-centric and inclusive culture, and generating solutions in the employee relations and business change spaces
  • Building and maintaining a collaborative relationship with the Head of HR for the manufacturing business unit in areas such as contracts, reward, and benefits
  • Communicating and managing delivery of the agreed business unit training plan
  • Managing relationships with the people shared service functions to deliver business and legislative compliance
  • Continuously maintaining expert knowledge in HR, ensuring the business unit HR team are appropriately upskilled and maximise benefits to the wider business

Key requirements for the role:

  • CIPD Level 7 qualification
  • HR leadership and generalist experience in a multi-site, operational business including experience in a shared service role
  • Commercial and financial awareness
  • Experience of HR system implementation or upgrading
  • Understanding of HR processes and up to date knowledge of relevant discipline area
  • Employee relations experience and fully up to date with changing legislative obligations
  • Ability to take responsibility for own self development and CPD
