Description

Aquascot is one of the largest employee-owned businesses in Scotland and one of the UK’s major seafood processors, with a significant presence in the Scottish Highlands. Based in Alness, Ross-shire and established for over 30 years, Aquascot is committed to providing sustainable, high-quality seafood to customers.

 

To support their ongoing success, Aquascot is currently looking for a Marketing Executive to support the Commercial team (Sales, Marketing, New Product Development (NPD)) and you will be coached by your line manager who is the Commercial Director. You will join a close team of 6.

 

Due to the culture within Aquascot, the role is open to a graduate (full training and support provided) OR if you have a good grounding in Marketing and are looking to grow your career within a supportive employee-owned company, we would like to hear from you.

 

This role requires both a strong external and internal focus.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

Externally

  • Own and maintain an external Waitrose marketing relationship in support of the Commercial Director.
  • Manage the relationship with an external marketing agency that will support on marketing-led initiatives.
  • Manage external communication channels including the website, LinkedIn and Facebook to help grow audience and reach.
  • Manage press releases.
  • Write and collate entries for relevant awards.
  • Carry out market research and prepare presentations with your findings to support the business relationship with Waitrose.

 

Internally

  • Own internal communications and publications, striving for a consistent tone of voice across all channels. This will include the internal magazine (6 releases a year).
  • Work closely with the New Product Development team delivering key insights that will help shape business thinking.
  • One of three authors for the annual trust report.

 

Salary will be up to £27k for a graduate and up to £30k for a more experienced candidate. It is crucial you can commute to the Alness site a minimum of twice a week with a blended home/office working approach.
