Description

Our client Scott Pallets is a leading Europe-wide, industrial supplies organisation servicing the industrial, public and manufacturing markets. To support Scott Pallets further growth, we’re searching for 2 Area HR Advisors to sit within the Reconditioned Business Unit in the following locations:

x1 for the Wigan area and,
x1 for the Bristol or Luton area

Whilst a mile radius has not been set in relation to the above locations, a willingness to travel is expected. Both roles are being advertised as hybrid with a requirement to be on-site as HR needs arise and to build relationships and engagement with Site Managers.

Reporting directly to the Head of HR, the role will be responsible for providing a professional HR service to around 500 employees in each location and supporting Site Managers in employee relations. 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage end to end HR issues arising from functions in your area, referring to appropriate sources of support when required
  • Support and advise management on employee relations, attending and taking notes of key meetings, including investigations, discipline and grievance
  • Analyse absence data and causal trends on patterns of absence, providing updates, reports, and recommendations to required parties
  • Support HR Business Partners in management of complex absence cases and employee health issues
  • Manage Occupational Health referrals for delegated areas of the business, monitoring response times and providing updates on action points
  • Assist HRBPs and hiring managers with supply of current resourcing market data
  • Support creation and maintenance of up-to-date job descriptions for all roles
  • Ensure full utilisation of the Scott Group online and offline recruitment platforms
  • Ongoing governance of consistent, fair, and inclusive selection processes, managing all area recruitment to completion
  • Liaise with hiring managers to ensure internal recruitment processes are consistently followed e.g., Payroll, Benefits; IT, Transport
  • Deliver and support new start onboarding and probationary processes
  • Accountable for all HR employment processes e.g., contracts, leavers, and variations
  • Maintain accurate, timely and up-to-date records on HR and other Company systems
  • Engage and communicate to area stakeholders on HR Dashboard and other people metrics. Ensure understanding and stakeholder action planning
  • Provide support on colleague personal development, learning delivery and monitoring of key Learning & Development activities

Key requirements for the role:

  • Whilst CIPD level 5 experience or above would be advantageous, experience and attitude will be valued just as highly
  • You will bring a consistent and balanced approach to all that you do and pride yourself on your relationship building skills
