- Description
This is a Senior/R&D Electronics Engineer taking market needs and developing concepts. You will work on a variety of projects providing electronics and embedded SW development for new products. This will include developing prototype systems as well as translating algorithms into production firmware, playing a leading role in new product architecture, designing and deployment of substantial electronics systems and firmware components.
Senior/R&D Electronics Engineer responsibilities:- Electronics hardware design for new product development – digital and analogue.
- Evaluating new hardware/demo kits, new devices drivers as required.
- Functional optimisation and improvements – both for Hardware and Firmware.
- Testing, benchmarking and validating software.
- Documentation / bug tracking / version control source code.
- Firmware design and development.
- Algorithm Development.
To be considered for this Senior/R&D Electronics Engineer you will have the following skills/experience:- Advanced C Programming in an embedded environment. Broad range of experience on embedded devices (C programming) and end to end systems.
- Analogue experience
- A strong innovator who enjoys whiteboarding ideas
- Broad range of experience in sensor systems.
- Understanding of constraints on complex mathematical algorithms.
- Commercial/industrial experience unless PhD/Degree was heavily focussed on sensors.
- Design of hardware and software components.
- Electronics Hardware fault finding and investigations. e.g. being able to trace a schematic, connect to and setup evaluation kits in ‘first bring up’ cycle
